Hi everyone! It’s October already? How did that happen? I guess time flies when you’re having fun!
I’d like to start out by saying I hope you and your families are keeping healthy and safe as we navigate through what continues to be a unique and challenging time for us all. Although we appear to see a light at the end of the tunnel, it is important we continue to exercise safe practices and diligence while living our day to day lives.
Thankfully, the AAI Operation in Ontario is full steam ahead. The AAI staff assigned to Metrolinx Stations are continuing to support Yorkdale, Hamilton and Union Station Bus Terminals. As a collective, the AAI staff on site are beginning to see a noticeable uptick in passenger traffic at the bus terminals, this is a positive sign as the economy continues to open up. As the traffic increases and the case counts continue to drop (hopefully) I encourage all staff to avoid letting COVID complacency set in, it is vital we maintain extra care as we transition to Ontario fully re-opening. I look forward to hearing more positive stories from our AAIMetrolinx staff and inspire all staff to demonstrate best practices for hand signals, communication and COVID-19 protocols as traffic continues to increase.
