We are currently looking to hire Part-Time and Full-Time Bus Safety Marshals to support our contract with Metrolinx in Downtown Toronto.
The successful candidates will be working out of the Union Station Bus Terminal and/or Yorkdale Station.

What You Will Be Doing?
- Lead by Example: Uphold the reputation of AAI under all circumstances
- Use standardized Bus Marshalling signals to assertively coordinate and direct the safe movement of GO Transit busses, particularly as they back out of/ into platforms and into public streets
- Comply with all safety and security requirements
- Provide excellent customer service
- Other duties as assigned
- Communicate with appropriate radio etiquette
What You Will Be Bringing?
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Double Vaccination
- Minimum of OSSD (high school diploma) or equivalent
- Available to work shifts to meet operational requirements, including weekends and holidays
- Demonstrated situational awareness, security compliance as well as the ability to read, write and converse in English
- Ability to work safely and fully engage in a culture of safety and customer service
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to work outdoors in all seasons provided
- Ability to adjust to very busy and very slow periods during your shift
- Ability to start work on time and maintain a good attendance record
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
- Ability to wear appropriate uniform and PPE
- Demonstrated good judgement and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Clear background check (no criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted)
- Three references for applicant’s good character (from people who are not related to the applicant)
- Completion of the following four (4) modules prior to the first day of work: Human Rights, 101, Health and Safety 4 Steps for Workers, AODA and WHMIS
Nice to Have:
- Customer service experience
- Awareness of how to respectfully assist persons with disabilities
- French and other languages for customer service
- Any form of mental health awareness training (e.g. Mental Health First Aid certification)
